Migrate your Calendar from Gmail.com to Google Workspace

Transferring your calendar events is an important and easy step when moving from a personal Gmail account to Google Workspace. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to migrate your calendar.

1.  Export Your Gmail Calendar

• Go to the calendar.google.com and login with your gmail.com email address and password.
• Click on the gear icon and choose settings as shown in the screenshot below.

• In the left hand navigation panel, scroll down and click on ‘Import & Export’ as shown in the screenshot below.

• Click on the export button as shown below and save the (zip) file on your computer (we’ll need it later when importing these calendars to Google Workspace).

• The exported zip file contains all of your calendars from your Gmail account. These may include your main calendar, secondary calendar, birthday calendars, and any other calendars associated with your Gmail account.
• Extract the calendar files by unzipping the export file and navigating to the unzipped folder as shown in the screenshot below.

2.  Import Your Gmail Calendar

• Go to calendar.google.com but this time login with your Google Workspace email (e.g. user@domain.com) and password.
• Now, click on the gear icon and then Settings as shown in the screenshot below.

• Scroll down and click on the ‘Import & Export’ button as shown below.

• Select the calendar where you'd like to import the events. For instance, choose your main calendar to import to that calendar, or choose your birthday calendar to import events to that calendar.
• In the example shown below, I am importing to my primary calendar, which I have selected.
• Note : Create the calendar first if it is not visible in the list before importing.

• Choose the calendar file you want to import from your unzipped folder.

• Click "Import" to import the selected calendar into your Google Workspace account's calendar after you have chosen your file.

• All the calendar events from your selected calendar file have been imported into your chosen Google Workspace calendar.
